Bullying has unfortunately become an undeniable epidemic today. Statistics paint a stark picture: one out of every five students (19.2%) reports being bullied, with this number often higher when factoring in the pervasive nature of cyberbullying. The consequences are far-reaching and deeply damaging, profoundly affecting a child’s self-esteem, academic performance, and overall well-being—frequently leading to struggles with depression, anxiety, and social isolation.

SAVE A MIND SAVE A LIFE CAMPAIGN
"Save a mind save a life" is a core concept of the JD’s Anti-Bullying book series, emphasizing that protecting emotional and mental well-being can have a profound impact. The series teaches that by being there for each other and showing kindness, people can build strong minds and gain the confidence to stand up for what's right. The JD’s Anti-Bullying book series stress the importance of making everyone feel safe, included, and respected, which can save minds and even lives in the process. JD's journey shows that even small acts of kindness can make someone feel safer and happier, helping them feel less scared and alone. The overarching message is that caring for each other's feelings is just as important as anything else we do every day. The series provides tools for both children and adults to help create a more welcoming environment where everyone can feel secure and happy.
Together, through education, awareness, and unwavering support, we are dedicated to cultivating a world where bullying is not tolerated, and every individual, especially every young athlete, can truly feel safe, respected, and valued.
At TYBA and 4J's Sports, our commitment to a bully-free environment is rooted in theR.E.A.C.H. framework. This practical strategy empowers everyone in our community –athletes, coaches, parents, and volunteers – to be active participants in creating a culture of respect, kindness, and safety.

You don't need wealth to make a difference. Sometimes, all it takes is a little time and genuine care, with a heart full of kindness.

The R.E.A.C.H Framework
Athletes are often in a unique position to positively influence the lives of others, especially young people. The platform of athletics provides a bully-free environment in which all participants are treated with respect. The positive messages and lessons learned through athletics can be transferred to other areas of life, such as the workplace or school.
The R.E.A.C.H. program is designed to spread the anti-bullying message of the platform of athletics to as many people as possible. The movement is based on the concept that one person can make a difference in the lives of others. R.E.A.C.H. stands for respect, encouragement, appreciation, compassion, and help. The program encourages athletes to be role models and to use their influence to spread the anti-bullying message to others.
